Why This Matters
The benchmark other sites ignore

Most ranking sites report raw bar passage percentages — but a 75% pass rate means something very different in a state where the average is 65% versus one where it's 85%. Atlas Legis shows each school's pass rate relative to its own state's average, surfacing which schools are genuinely preparing their graduates well versus simply benefiting from easier state bars.

A school with a +15% delta is sending graduates into the bar exam significantly better prepared than their peers. A school at −12% is a signal worth investigating before you enroll. This comparison is derived directly from ABA 509 Required Disclosures for the Class of 2024 — the most recent year available.

About state averages: State bar passage averages include all first-time takers from all schools — not just ABA-accredited graduates. A school's delta reflects performance relative to that broader pool. Some states have historically higher or lower pass rates, which is why the relative comparison matters more than the raw number alone.
